2 · Put Kept on your phone

Kept installs like an app straight from the browser — no App Store.

iPhone

1. Open keptlocker.com in Safari (it must be Safari for this part).
2. Tap the Share button — the square with the arrow, bottom center.
3. Scroll down the sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen”, then Add.
4. Open Kept from the new icon on your home screen and sign in — it runs full-screen like a real app.

Android

1. Open the site in Chrome.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu (top right) → “Add to Home screen” (or “Install app” if offered).

On your phone, add items by copying a product link from any app, opening Kept, and tapping Paste next to the box.

Faster: share straight to Kept (optional, worth it)

Android: nothing to set up — once installed, Kept appears in the system share sheet. In any app: Share → Kept, done.

iPhone(one-time, ~2 minutes, using Apple’s Shortcuts app):

1. Open the Shortcuts app → tap + → rename it “Keep in Kept”.
2. Tap the ⓘ at the bottom → turn on “Show in Share Sheet”.
3. Add the action URL and type https://keptlocker.com/?add= — then, right after the =, tap the Shortcut Input variable from the bar above the keyboard.
4. Add the action Open URLs. Done.
5. Now from any app — Instagram, Safari, anywhere: Share → Keep in Kept, and Kept opens with the item already added.

3 · Keep your first items

Paste any product link into the box on the home page — Everlane, Zara, Shopbop, and 70+ more work instantly, and unknown stores are attempted automatically. Set an “alert under $” if you have a price in mind; leave it blank to hear about any drop.

4 · Install the Chrome extension (computer)

The extension keeps items from anystore — including the ones that block robots (Saks, Revolve, Farfetch) — and adds a one-click keep button to every product page. It’s beta-packaged, so installing takes a few clicks more than the Chrome Web Store:

1. Download kept-extension.zip — it lands in your Downloads folder.
2. Unzip it: on a Mac, double-click the file — a folder called kept-extension appears next to it. On Windows, right-click → Extract All.
3. Move that folder somewhere permanent (Documents is perfect). If it gets deleted later, the extension stops working.
4. In Chrome, type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.
5. Turn on Developer mode — the toggle in the top-right corner.
6. Click Load unpacked (top left) and select the kept-extension folder.
7. Click the puzzle-piece iconnext to Chrome’s address bar and pin Kept, then click the K and sign in.

Works in Chrome and Chrome-based browsers (Arc, Edge, Brave). Chrome may occasionally remind you about developer-mode extensions — that’s expected for beta packaging; the Web Store version comes later.

Good to know

Prices are checked four times a day. Alert emails arrive from Kept (beta) — reply to any of them and a human reads it. Found something weird? Screenshot it and send it over — beta feedback is the whole point.
